BSA Gold Star revised price

GST reform will increase the price by Rs 23,702

Following the government’s recent GST reforms, Classic Legends has announced revised pricing for the multiple brands under its umbrella. While the Yezdi and Jawa models, powered by either 293cc or 334cc engines, will see prices drop once the reduced taxes on sub-350cc bikes come into effect after September 22, the BSA Gold Star will see a price increase.

The Gold Star, powered by a 652cc single-cylinder engine, falls into the above-350cc category and will attract a tax rate of 40 percent, compared to the current effective rate of 31 percent (28 percent GST + 3 percent cess). As a result, BSA Gold Star prices will rise by up to Rs 23,702, meaning customers who purchase the bike before September 21 can save this amount. For reference, prices for the Gold Star currently start at Rs 3.10 lakh and go up to Rs 3.45 lakh for the Legacy Edition (ex-showroom, Delhi).

BSA has also introduced an exchange programme in India, allowing customers to trade in any two-wheeler for up to Rs 10,000 in value. The exchange programme runs until September 23.
