BMW F 450 GS launch details

The BMW F 450 GS replaces the G 310 GS as the entry-level adventure tourer in the brand’s portfolio

First showcased as a concept at EICMA 2024, the F 450 GS was later unveiled in production form at EICMA 2025. Production began at TVS Motor Company’s Hosur facility in late November 2025, and the motorcycle is now ready for its India debut.

The F 450 GS is powered by a 420cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine producing 48hp and 43Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It also features BMW’s Shift Assistant Pro, enabling clutchless upshifts and downshifts.

Internationally, the F 450 GS is offered in four variants – Basic, Exclusive, Sport and Trophy – and these are likely to be introduced in India as well. While official pricing will be announced at launch, the motorcycle is expected to be priced around the Rs 5 lakh mark, with higher-spec variants commanding a premium.

Poll of the month

What do you think about the push for ethanol blends even higher than E20 petrol?

Good move; it cuts dependence on crude oil imports
I support it as it’s a greener solution than pure petrol
I’ll accept it only if it’s cheaper than E20 petrol
I am concerned about damage to my vehicle
Not good; fuel efficiency will drop even further
