It was only a matter of time until Bajaj equipped its non-ABS offerings with the safety feature. We’ve spoken to a few dealers and found that the Pulsar NS160 has received single-channel ABS that sees its price rise from Rs 85,939 to Rs 92,595.

Interestingly, a Rs 6,656 hike is nearly half that the NS200 saw when it was equipped with ABS. While the pricing of a motorcycle is dependent on a number of reasons, we believe Bajaj has kept the premium at a bare minimum to allow it to sit below the new Pulsar 180F ABS.

Dealers we spoke to have told us that the ABS-equipped bike is yet to reach their showrooms and that it won’t receive any mechanical updates apart from the addition of ABS. This means that it will continue to be powered by a 160.3cc single-cylinder motor that makes 15.5hp at 8,500rpm and 14.6Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

The non-ABS Pulsar NS160, just like other non-ABS bikes, will be available at select dealerships until stocks last.
