Ather 450S 3.7 launched at Rs 1.46 lakh

Following the launch of the Rizta S 3.7 earlier this month, Ather Energy has now rolled out the 450S 3.7kWh, priced at Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

  1. Ather 450S now gets a larger 3.7kWh battery
  2. Offers a claimed IDC range of 161km
  3. Same features and bodywork as 450S 2.9

Ather 450S 3.7kWh: What’s new?

It gets the same large battery pack that was previously exclusive to the 450X.

Just like the Rizta S 3.7, the biggest change here is the larger 3.7kWh battery pack, which boosts the IDC-certified range to 161km, up from 115km on the 450S 2.9. Performance remains unchanged, with the motor continuing to produce 5.4kW and 22Nm of torque, resulting in a 0-40kph time of 3.9sec and a 90kph top speed. Four ride modes – Smart Eco, Eco, Ride and Sport – are offered.

Despite the battery upgrade, the design and dimensions remain identical to the standard 450S, including the sharp styling and 12-inch wheels at both ends. The 450S also continues with the 7-inch LCD dash with turn-by-turn navigation, hill-hold, Fall Safe, and support for AtherStack OTA software updates.

The 450S 3.7 also gets the Ather Eight70 warranty package, which covers the battery for 8 years or 80,000km with a guaranteed minimum 70 percent battery health. Deliveries will begin in August 2025, with bookings now open both online and at Ather dealerships.

This new variant is priced at Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). It marks an increment of Rs 16,000 compared to the 450S 2.9. For comparison, the 450X with the smaller 2.9kWh battery pack is positioned just Rs 1,000 higher but gets a TFT dash with added features.
