Suzuki has updated the Hayabusa for 2026, bringing a series of small but meaningful refinements to the iconic superbike. While the core mechanical package remains unchanged, the brand has revised the electronics and introduced new colour schemes.

  1. Akrapovič exhaust offered as optional accessory
  2. Throttle maps revised for improved low-end torque
  3. 1,340cc inline-four continues to make 190hp and 150Nm

2026 Suzuki Hayabusa: All you need to know

Electronics updated for better low end performance and touring ability

The most significant update for 2026 is the revision of the Hayabusa's selectable throttle maps, which have been retuned to boost torque delivery in the lower rev range. This should provide stronger acceleration and improved rideability in everyday conditions. The cruise control system has also been improved to remain active during gear changes when using the bi-directional quickshifter. Finally, Suzuki has also refined the launch control system and added a more compact and lighter lithium ion battery.

Mechanically, everything else remains the same and the 1,340cc inline-four engine continues to produce 190hp and 150Nm. However, Suzuki UK is offering an optional Akrapovič exhaust system at a discounted add-on price of £1,999 – notably lower than its usual £3,025 retail price.

Alongside the standard model updates, Suzuki has also announced a Special Edition Hayabusa that distinguishes itself with a unique blue paint scheme with contrasting white detailing. The Special Edition also features a 3D Suzuki emblem and special edition badge on the fuel tank and a seat cowl as standard.

The 2026 Hayabusa carries an on-the-road price of £18,599 in the UK (approximately Rs 21.55 lakh). For reference, the current India-spec model retails at Rs 18.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). There’s no official word on when this updated version will be launched in India, but if it does arrive, it will likely command a slight premium over the outgoing bike.
