The Xiaomi YU7 marks the world’s third-largest smartphone manufacturer’s foray into the SUV segment.

Combined output from YU7's electric motors is 690hp and 528Nm; 0-100kph takes 3.23 seconds.

The YU7 stretches the tape at 4,999mm long, 1,996mm wide and 1,600 tall.

The teardrop-style LED design is similar to the SU7 electric sedan.

The Xiaomi YU7 features a crossover-like design, much like the Ferrari Purosangue, with large haunches and plastic cladding.

In addition to a 16.1-inch touchscreen, the YU7 SUV also gets two rear entertainment displays.

The rear seats can be reclined to up to 135 degrees.

The Xiaomi YU7 SUV marks the smartphone manufacturer's entry into the SUV space. Visually, the electric SUV draws several cues from the SU7 sedan, including the blanked-off grille, teardrop-style LED headlights and flush-type door handles. The SUV also carries over the signature roof hump for LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging). Xiaomi has fitted two electric motors, one each at the front and rear, enabling all-wheel drive; the combined output from this setup is 690hp and 528Nm. The YU7 sprints from 0-100kph in just 3.23 seconds and reaches a top speed of 253kph. Battery pack options include 96.3kWh and 101.7kWh, while the range is between 760km and 835km, as per the China Light-duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC).
