The Flying Flea is the electric sub-brand of Royal Enfield, first introduced to us at EICMA 2024. The name originates from the motorcycle of the same name produced by Royal Enfield in the 1940s which was designed to be parachuted into war zones. The C6 is the first model under the new sub-brand, the design features a compact, light and retro design which was inspired from the original 1940s motorcycle.
The C6 is powered by a 3.91 kWh lithium ion battery which powers a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that drives the rear wheel via a belt drive. The motorcycle also has a claimed top speed of 115kph and can do a 0-60kph sprint in a claimed 3.7 secs. The motorcycle uses a unique twin-shock girder fork and a monoshock with 100mm and 110mm travel. Braking is handled by discs with ABS. Ground clearance is plenty at 207mm, seat height stands at 823mm and overall the bike weighs 124kgs, making it the lightest ever production Royal Enfield motorcycle.
The Flying Flea C6 is equipped with a 3.5-inch coloured touch sensitive TFT screen, wireless phone charger, USB Type C charging port, lean angle sensing traction control, and electronic handlebar lock with keyless ignition. It is priced at 2.79 lakh (Ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and will be available in two colours, Flea Green and Storm Black.
