Yamaha Tracer 7 Image Gallery

The Yamaha Tracer 7 (and 7 GT) are adventure tourers the Japanese brand sells in Europe and the US. THe Tracer 7 uses a 689cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making up to 73.4hp and 68Nm of torque. It has a USD fork at the front with 130mm travel, and a linked monoshock at the rear with 139mm travel. Yamaha offers adjustability at both ends. With a full 18-litre tank, the Tracer weighs 203kg in its ready-to-ride form. Yamaha also offers a Y-AMT system, with which the Tracer weighs 3kg more.

The Tracer embraces the touring part more than the adventure part, evident from its suspension travel. That is further corroborated by the bike's 140mm ground clearance; however, the seat height is a tall-ish 830mm and can go up to 850mm. Stopping the motorcycle are 298mm dual-disc brakes at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear. The GT takes it up a notch with a remote preload adjuster, factory touring accessories, thicker seat, and a taller wind screen.

In terms of features, the Tracer 7 gets two ride modes, ride-by-wire, a slip-and-assist clutch, traction control, dual-channel ABS, cruise control, smartphone connectivity via the 5-inch TFT display, and auto cancelling indicators.
