Limited units of the Mini Cooper 1965 Victory Edition will come to India.

A few unique details differentiate this special edition from the 3-door Cooper S JCW.

The sporty white stripe adds sharp contrast to the gloss-black trim around it.

There are 18-inch rims with red highlights, ‘52’ & ‘1965’ decals, and metal/glass roof options.

The zesty rear-end gets ‘1965 Victory Edition’ marking within the white stripe.

Doors of the 1965 Victory Edition feature rally-specific details.

Door sills get their own edition-specific detailing.

Sports steering gets a 6 o'clock-position marking, unique stitching, plus small ‘1965’ lettering.

Centre storage lid has a hoop and uses a fabric-like material; key-fob has ‘52’ embossing.

The 1965 Victory Edition bolsters the sporty appeal of the 3-door Mini Cooper.

The Victory Edition’s allocation for the Indian market will be very limited.

Back in January 1965, Timo Mäkinen, along with his co-driver Paul Easter, guided their Mini Cooper S to victory at the Monte Carlo Rally. In honour of that achievement, 61 years later, Mini has introduced the aptly-named Cooper 1965 Victory Edition. Like the S variant, this special edition Mini Cooper is also powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine pushing out 204hp and 300Nm.
Drive goes to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Bookings are underway in India, and the Victory Edition will be pricier than the Cooper S JCW, which starts at Rs 55.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
