Hyundai has unveiled the eighth-gen Elantra sedan, which packs major styling changes, more tech, and mechanical upgrades. The eighth-gen Elantra adopts Hyundai's Art of Steel styling approach, which looks like an evolved form of the design language used for the Sonata and Verna. Measuring 4,765mm in length, 1,855mm in width, 1,425mm in height, and 2,750mm in wheelbase, the new Elantra is also 55mm longer and 30mm wider than its predecessor. Inside, the new Elantra gets a massive 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen running Hyundai's new Pleos Connect infotainment interface, as well as a slim digital driver's display, new three-spoke steering wheel, lots of physical controls, ambient lighting, and more. Under the hood, it carries forward the same 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.6-litre hybrid powertrains, but the latter sees changes like a 13hp bump and optimisations for the gearbox, drive motor, and battery.
