The updated City is still in its fifth generation, first launched in 2020.

The all-black upper & lower grilles use a honeycomb design; the former gets a connected LED strip.

The front ‘Honda’ badge has now been moved up from the grille.

The City gets bi-projector LED headlamps with dual-strip LED daytime running lights.

Top trims get 16-inch aero-blade rims finished in black and silver tones.

The facelift is 11mm longer than the old model; overall side profile remains unchanged.

There’s a boot-lid spoiler, clear-lens tail lamps and a revised bumper with sporty-looking black trim.

The petrol variants have a 506-litre boot.

The higher boot floor of the e:HEV variant eats into luggage space.

The updated City carries forward the petrol and hybrid powertrains from the pre-facelift model.

Honda has launched the 2026 City with a range of exterior updates, whilst retaining the previous model’s petrol and strong-hybrid powertrains. Under the bonnet of both cars is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine. It drives the front wheels via a 6-speed manual or a ‘7-step’ CVT gearbox in case of the petrol-only car, and through an e-CVT transmission in case of the e:HEV or hybrid version. The 2026 Honda City is offered in a new Crystal Black Pearl colour, which costs extra over other colour options.
