The GST 2.0 implementation has lowered the tax rate on bikes below 350cc from 28 percent to 18 percent and increased it to 40 percent for models above 350cc. In this comparison, we’ve considered two rivals that fall on either side of this divide while competing closely in sales – the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Triumph Speed T4. Both can serve as a rider’s first motorcycle or a step up into the higher-displacement segment. Here’s how their prices have changed and how they stack up against each other now.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 price after GST

The prices for the Hunter range have fallen by Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000

The 2025 iteration of the Hunter 350 was launched earlier this year with prices ranging from Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 1.82 lakh. With the recent GST cut, Royal Enfield has decided to pass on the entire benefit to customers. The Hunter is now priced between Rs 1.38 lakh and Rs 1.67 lakh, down by Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000.

Earlier this year, the Hunter 350 received updates including an LED headlight, revised rear suspension and a slipper clutch. It continues to be powered by a 349cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine producing 20.4hp and 27Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

Triumph Speed T4 price after GST

The Speed T4 is now priced at Rs 1.93 lakh

The Speed T4 features a larger-displacement engine than the Hunter, placing it in the 350cc-and-above price bracket. Earlier, the T4 was priced between Rs 1.99 lakh and Rs 2.07 lakh. However, Bajaj has chosen to absorb the tax hike and, additionally, has reduced the T4’s price to Rs 1.93 lakh.

The Speed T4 shares its platform with the Speed 400 but employs more cost-effective components to keep prices in check. It runs on bias-ply tyres instead of the Speed 400’s radial units and misses out on traction control. Furthermore, the USD fork has been replaced with conventional telescopic forks. Powering the motorcycle is the same 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the Speed 400, albeit in a lower state of tune, producing 31hp and 36Nm.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 vs Triumph Speed T4 price comparison

The Hunter 350 price starts at Rs 55,000 lower than the Speed T4’s

The Triumph Speed T4 continues to command a higher price than the Hunter 350. However, it is worth noting that the T4 is powered by a larger engine and features sophisticated liquid-cooling technology. At current prices, the top-end Hunter 350 is Rs 26,000 more affordable, and this gap widens to Rs 55,000 when you consider its base variant. That said, the Hunter 350’s base variant offers very few features and even misses out on alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
