The Creta Electric rivals the Tata Curvv EV and the MG Windsor. While the ICE Creta is among the top 10 bestsellers each month, the Creta Electric has not been able to replicate that. What is the price of the Hyundai Creta Electric?
The Hyundai Creta Electric prices start at Rs 17.99 lakh for the Executive variant with the smaller battery and go up to Rs 24.37 lakh for the top-spec Excellence with the larger battery. The Creta Electric's on-road price roughly ranges between Rs 20.79 lakh and Rs 27.11 lakh, depending on the city.
What are the battery pack sizes of the Hyundai Creta Electric?
The Hyundai Creta Electric gets two battery packs – a 42kWh unit and a 51.4kWh unit. Both get a front axle-mounted motor that puts out 135hp with the smaller pack and 171hp on the latter.
What variants does the Hyundai Creta Electric get?
The Hyundai Creta Electric is offered in five trims – Executive, Smart, Smart (O), Premium and Excellence. The Executive, Smart, Smart (O) and Premium trims are offered with the smaller battery pack, while the Smart (O) and Excellence come with the larger pack; the Smart (O) is the only variant to get both battery options.
What is the range of the Hyundai Creta Electric?
We haven’t put the Creta Electric through our instrumented range test yet. However, the Creta Electric has an ARAI-claimed range of 390km with the smaller 42kWh battery, while the larger 51.4kWh battery returns a claimed 473km.
What colours does the Hyundai Creta Electric get?
The Hyundai Creta Electric can be had in a total of 10 exterior colour options – this includes two dual-tone colour options, three matte options and five single-tone options. Dual-tone colour options on the Creta Electric include Atlas White/Abyss Black and Ocean Blue/Abyss Black. There are three matte colour options – Ocean Blue, Titan Grey and Robust Emerald. The five single-tone colour options include Fiery Red, Abyss Black, Starry Night, Atlas White and Ocean Blue.
The base Executive trim only gets the Atlas White paint shade, while the Smart gets Atlas White and Abyss Black paint shades. The full colour palette is only available from Smart (O) onwards.
What features does the Hyundai Creta Electric top model get?
The top-spec Hyundai Creta Electric Excellence gets a digital key, electrochromic inside rearview mirror with telematic switches, front parking sensors, ventilated front seats, cooled glove box, a blind spot monitor, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, and more.
Standard safety features on the Hyundai Creta Electric include 6 airbags, TPMS and ABS with EBD. ADAS features are available on the Premium and Excellence trims, but the former missed out on a Surround View Monitor and a Blind Spot Monitor.
What are the charging options available on the Hyundai Creta Electric?
The Hyundai Creta Electric can be charged at home using a 11kW wallbox charger; however, this costs Rs 73,000 more. The 11kW charger can top up the 42kWh battery from 10-100 percent in 4 hours and the 51.4kWh battery in 4 hours and 50 minutes. Using a 50kW DC fast charger tops up both batteries from 10-80 percent in 58 minutes.
Is Hyundai Creta Electric better than petrol or diesel?
You can never go wrong with the Hyundai Creta, Electric or otherwise. While the Creta Electric is a great option as a city runabout, if you intend on doing highway runs with your midsize SUV, you’re better off with either the petrol or diesel versions.
