Maruti Suzuki Jimny variants, features

The much anticipated Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door made its global debut at Auto Expo 2023. The five-door model will go on sale in India in May 2023, followed by other markets.

In addition to the robust body-on-frame construction, the Jimny features Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4WD tech and as far as powertrains go, Maruti has opted for the K15B 1.5-litre petrol engine that makes 105hp and 134Nm of torque. It also features mild-hybrid tech and comes paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The Jimny is available only in two trims – Zeta and Alpha – where the latter gets all the bells and whistles, including automatic headlamps, SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, automatic climate control and Arkamys sound system.
