Honda Dio, TVS Jupiter, Ola S1 X, lightest scooters in India

Scooters are one of the more affordable and convenient modes of motorised personal transport, and a key part of their appeal lies in how light they are. Here, we list the lightest scooters in India.

TVS Jupiter 110, Honda Activa, Suzuki Avenis, Hero Pleasure+ ZX+

106kg

Weighing just 106kg, the Jupiter, Avenis, Activa (standard and DLX variants), and Pleasure+ ZX+ are the heaviest scooters on this list. The Activa and Pleasure+ have stayed largely unchanged for quite some time now, but the Jupiter 110 was recently updated. To read our full review, you can tap HERE.

Honda Activa H-Smart, TVS Jupiter 110 drum

105kg

The base Jupiter 110 drum variant and the Activa H-Smart variants are even lighter at 105kg. The H-Smart variant of the Activa gets a key fob which brings in keyless ignition and is also the only variant to get alloy wheels. At Rs 82,684 (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is the most expensive variant of India’s best-selling scooter.

Honda Dio 125, Suzuki Access 125 steel, Hero Pleasure+ LX, VX

104kg

Dropping another kilo down brings us to a three-way tie between the Honda Dio 125, the base steel variant of the Suzuki Access 125, and the LX as well as VX variants of the Hero Pleasure+. The Access and Dio are both 125s, while the Pleasure+ is a 110cc scooter, so the Japanese have a slight weight advantage here.

TVS Zest 110, Honda Dio 110, Suzuki Access 125 alloy

103kg

At 103kg, the Dio 110, Scooty Zest 110, and Suzuki Access 125 alloy variants are again engaged in a three-way tie. And just like the aforementioned scooters, the Access is the only 125 here in contrast to the other two 110cc scooters.

Ola S1 X 2kWh

101kg

The only electric scooter to make it to this list is the 101kg Ola S1 X 2kWh variant, which is also one of the more affordable options on this list, at Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom, India). Unfortunately, Ola Electric has recently been under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, and to read more about that, tap HERE.

Yamaha Fascino, RayZR, RayZR Street Rally

99kg

Sneaking in just under the 100-kilo mark, the Yamaha Fascino, RayZR, and RayZR Street Rally all weigh an identical 99kg and are all the lightest scooters one can buy in India. This is despite the fact that these have 125cc engines as well as an ISG (integrated starter generator) that gives you a small boost when needed.
