Hi, I am planning to buy a CNG SUV and am considering the Tata Nexon CNG and Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG. I will be driving around 150km every day for office, so my main concerns are fuel economy and maintenance costs. Many people have suggested the Brezza because of its mileage and lower running costs, but Tata is also a large company and has a wide service network. So, why do buyers generally recommend the Brezza over the Nexon CNG? I personally prefer the Nexon, but I am confused about whether it would be the right choice for my daily usage. Which one would make more sense for my requirements?

Go with the Tata Nexon CNG if that is your preference. At 150 km daily, CNG is the right fuel choice, and both the Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza are factory CNG cars, so reliability and safety are not a concern. The Nexon CNG is a strong product with good performance, a comfortable ride and a well-equipped cabin.

The reason many people suggest the Brezza is Maruti's reputation for low maintenance costs, wide service reach and a long-standing reputation for hassle-free ownership. The Brezza CNG is also a very reliable and efficient package. However, the Nexon CNG is the more modern car and feels more premium inside.

At 150 km daily, the key is to choose the car you will enjoy driving every day. The Nexon CNG is a solid choice, and there is no reason to change your decision.

@autocar.india did you took note of mileage during suggestion? Nexon cng mileage is around 17 which breeza petrol would offer it. Breeza cng mileage is almost 25kms.

@praveen_jp Nexon CNG mileage on 60-40 highway and city is 20-22.5 km/kg. On 70-30 highway and city, nexon mileage can reach 22-25km/kg. On a 80-20 highway and city, its mileage is 24-27km/kg. Note - Nexon has a turbo engine, so you enjoy revving it, but if you are unnecessarily revving it, the above figures and your mileage will die. @deepakrochhiya please refer nexon mileage above.

Considering mainly highway travel, take nexon cng to enjoy featurer and drive. If you can have home charger - punch ev also can be good.

@deepakrochhiya you should go with the Brezza CNG. The Nexon CNG is more powerful and feels more substantial, but the Brezza’s higher claimed CNG efficiency, proven CNG setup and lower running-cost focus make more sense for such high daily usage

Go for nexon cng. Or you may check for alternate technology. Since daily running is high you may opt for EV instead in case you don't have charging constraints. The slight higher cost initially will be easily covered with your daily driving requirements. Main advantages . Very low running costs even when compared to cheapest fuel driven options . Low maintenance as their is no engine no transmission and very less moving parts . Battery warranty coverage for the life of the vehicle . Very smooth driving . Breeza is the right pick, 1.The TATA service network is offering poor experience 2.Even when CNG dries/unavailable 1.5 NA is economical compared to nexon turbo 3.Reliability of NA engine is much reliable comparatively 4.refinement is great in 1.5 NA Above are genuine points... Last but not least your inner satisfaction is very much required, so go with your desire since the flaws won't be seen if have love or interest in a thing...!

@deepakrochhiya, if your driving are mostly on highways, then please consider nexon as your best mate. Because, nexon cng gives great mileage on highways. But if you are driving your car 70 city and 30 highway or 80 city and 20 highway, your mileage will drop drastically, around 13-18km/kg. In case of city driving, brezza cng is a better choice. So you 150km daily office route will surely include mostly highways and less city that is why Nexon CNG is your perfect car. And on a 1-1 lane roads, that has no divider, Nexon CNG has a great advantage of quick overtaking than Brezza CNG. Nexon CNG is far greater than Brezza CNG if you are overtaking on highways. Secondly, Tata Nexon needs your attention. If its your first car, then you need to be sensitive towards your Tata Nexon and it will need your attention. But if its your second or third car, then, major Go with Nexon CNG.

With 2,500 km a month and mostly highway driving, a diesel is actually the best fit for your usage. The DPF concern is understandable, but it is largely a city driving issue. Highway running keeps the exhaust temperatures high enough for the DPF to regenerate naturally, so you are unlikely to face problems. The Punch CNG is a sensible and economical car, but it is not the best choice for sustained highway use. The performance is adequate, but overtaking requires planning, and the boot space is compromised by the CNG tank. For your usage, the Tata Nexon diesel is the better choice. It is more powerful, more comfortable on highways, and will be more enjoyable to drive over long distances.

Hi Autocar Team, I am confused between the XUV 7XO AX7T diesel manual and automatic. My current ride is a Fluidic Verna diesel manual, which is nearing 15 years of ownership and has clocked nearly 2.5 lakh km. My usage consists of mixed city and highway driving, with around 40km daily and weekend highway runs of about 400km. I am confused between Creta SX IVT and Elevate CVT for 8000 km of annual running with long trips of 1200 km 3-4 times in a year for a family of 4. Apart from this, day to day usage is less than 100km per month. I am looking for a car for long term ownership and travel comfort.

The Creta SX IVT is the better fit for your requirement. It offers a quieter, more refined cabin, comfortable rear seats and a smoother CVT, which are particularly valuable when spending several hours on the highway with four people and luggage. Autocar's long term experience with the Creta petrol IVT also found it refined, comfortable and particularly well suited to road trips.The Honda Elevate CVT has advantages of its own.
