The 2025 Indian Racing Festival calendar has been tweaked, with the Indian Racing League season now concluding in February next year. An official statement shared by organiser RPPL (Racing Promotions Private Limited) confirms that only the Indian Racing League will be held on street tracks in Goa and Navi Mumbai, both of which have now been pushed to 2026.

The F4 India 2025 season’s Round 4 is scheduled to be held at Coimbatore’s Kari Motor Speedway this weekend (November 14-16). The season finale will take place in December, and the venue for it will be announced later.

“The Indian Racing Festival calendar has been revised to enhance the overall racing and fan experience. The F4 India 2025 season will now conclude in December. The Indian Racing League will complete its remaining rounds with street races in Goa (Round 4) and Mumbai (Round 5) in January and February, respectively,” read the RPPL statement.

Goa, Navi Mumbai street races postponed to 2026

Earlier this year, RPPL announced that two new street circuits were being prepared in Goa and Navi Mumbai for the Indian Racing Festival. Round 4 was scheduled to be held on November 1-2 at an oceanfront track located at Vasco, Goa.

However, following protests from local councillors and residents, the decision was made to relocate the race to a new venue. While no alternative venues have been announced yet, RRPL says the Goa round will be held in January 2026.

Navi Mumbai, meanwhile, was scheduled to host the 2025 Indian Racing Festival finale in December. But this has now been pushed to February 2026. The 3.753km-long track is planned to start at Palm Beach and weave through stretches alongside Nerul Lake.

F4 India 2025 season to conclude in December

These latest developments could have a significant impact on F4 India, which is the only Indian championship to award Super Licence points (which are necessary to race in F1). These points, along with the comparatively lower entry fees, have been key reasons for attracting plenty of international talent.

However, FIA rules mandate that to be eligible for full Super Licence points, a championship needs to be composed of “a minimum of five competitions (rounds)” and “be held on a minimum of three different tracks”.

So far, F4 India races have only been held at Chennai’s Madras International Circuit and Coimbatore’s Kari Motor Speedway this year. Round 4 will also be held at Coimbatore. That means the final round in December will need to be held at another FIA-certified track for competitors to score the full Super Licence points.

In the past, only 50 percent of the standard Super Licence points were awarded for the 2023 edition of the South East Asia Championship since races took place on two FIA-certified tracks.
