The new Goa Street Circuit will make its debut, hosting Round 4 of the 2025 Indian Racing League (IRL), on February 14-15. The track was originally supposed to be built at Vasco. However, following protests from local councillors and residents, the location has been moved to the Manohar International Airport.

The Goa round of the Indian Racing League was initially slated to be held in November 2025. Following protests, series organiser RPPL (Racing Promotions Private Limited) announced that Round 4 would be pushed to early 2026 at a new location.

RPPL has now confirmed that the race has been moved to Manohar International Airport. The track will be 2.064km long and feature 12 turns. “Street circuits represent the next frontier for Indian motorsport. They bring the action closer to fans, create unforgettable experiences and transform how people engage with the sport. The upcoming round in Goa marks an important step in this journey, as we take high-quality racing to a new state,” said Akhilesh Reddy, chairman and managing director of RPPL.

Tickets for the race will be available on the District by Zomato app. For those who can’t make it to the track, sessions will be streamed live on JioHotstar, in addition to a TV broadcast on Star Sports Select 2.

There’s also a new Navi Mumbai street circuit in the works for the Indian Racing League finale. This, too, has been postponed and revised dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

Initially, Goa and Navi Mumbai were supposed to host races for both the Indian Racing League and F4 India. However, due to the delays, the final two rounds of the F4 India were held at the Madras International Circuit. This means the two new street circuits will only host the IRL races.

Indian Racing League format

Six city-based teams are competing in the IRL this season, with team owners including John Abraham, Sourav Ganguly, Kichcha Sudeepa, and others. It’s a one-make series, so all racers drive a Wolf GB08 Thunder single-seater. Each team has to field a mix of Indian and international talent, including one female racer.

After the first three rounds, Arjun Kapoor’s team, Speed Demons Delhi, currently leads the standings. But they’re just one point ahead of Naga Chaitanya’s Hyderabad Blackbirds. Kichcha’s Kings Bengaluru is third overall, 10 points off the lead.
