Shane Chandaria was crowned 2025 F4 India champion at the season finale, held at the Madras International Circuit. At just 15 years old, he becomes the youngest driver to win the F4 India title.

Chandaria, Chennai Turbo Riders crowned champions
Chandaria entered the final round with a 24-point lead at the top of the standings. He started Race 1 from pole position, but cross the chequered flag in second place, behind Sachel Rotge. Nevertheless, P2 was enough for Chandaria to seal the title with one race to go. Chandaria’s teammate Veer Sheth completed the podium in P3, handing Chennai Turbo riders a double podium finish.
Despite wrapping up the championship early, Chandaria was determined to end the season on a high note. Both he and Rotge had to start from the back of the grid as per reverse-grid rules. But they staged some daring overtakes and Rotge ended up P2, followed by Chandaria in P3. 16-year-old Luviwe Sambudla won the last race of the season.

Chandaria’s strong form this season also helped his team, Chennai Turbo Riders, clinch the teams’ title. Over in the drivers’ championship, Rotge finished second overall, while India’s Ishaan Madesh finished third overall.
It’s been a remarkable rookie F4 India season for Chandaria. Earlier this year, he also became the youngest-ever F4 India race winner and polesitter, as well as the first Kenyan to win a race in this championship. And he’s now wrapped up the season as the youngest F4 India champion.
With this, Chandaria also earns 12 crucial Super Licence points. In order to obtain a Super Licence, which is necessary to race in F1, drivers need to accumulate at least 40 points.
