Automotodrom Brno returns to the MotoGP calendar for the first time since 2020, with the Czech GP kicking off the second half of the season. It’s a classic track that has churned out some iconic race moments in the past.

So, how will Jorge Martin’s MotoGP return go? And can anyone stop Marc Marquez’s victory streak? Here’s your complete guide to the Czech GP this weekend:

MotoGP Brno schedule

This weekend’s Czech GP will be the last round before MotoGP goes on a summer break for nearly a month. The big talking point is Jorge Martin’s return after his Qatar GP crash that left him with multiple fractured ribs and a collapsed lung. In fact, the reigning world champion hasn’t completed a full grand prix all year. The Czech GP will essentially serve as a clean slate for Martin to start anew; the Spaniard has settled his contract dispute with Aprilia as well, confirming that he will stay with the team next year.

Enea Bastianini is also back in action this weekend after recovering from appendicitis. However, Franco Morbidelli will miss the Czech GP after injuring his collarbone in the German GP Sprint.

As for the championship battle, Marc Marquez currently holds a solid 83-point lead in the standings. After taking another clean sweep at Sachsenring, the Ducati rider will be looking to extend his victory streak. Marc’s brother Alex Marquez is second overall, 64 points ahead of Francesco Bagnaia.

All MotoGP Czech GP sessions will be streamed live on Fancode. Fans in India can also catch the live TV broadcast on Eurosport.
