Shailesh Chandra appointed SIAM president for 2024-25

Shailesh Chandra has been announced as the President of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) for the year 2024-25.  This decision was announced by the executive committee of SIAM which is the apex body representing the country’s leading automobile manufacturers.

Shailesh Chandra is also the Managing director at Tata Motors passenger Vehicles Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited. He previously served as the Vice President of SIAM, succeeds Vinod Aggarwal, Managing Director & CEO of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Ltd.   The new office bearers were elected during the Executive Committee Meeting held on September 10, 2024.

The members of SIAM also elected Shenu Agarwal, MD & CEO, Ashok Leyland Ltd., as the Vice President of SIAM for 2024-25.  Satyakam Arya, CEO & MD, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles was elected as the Treasurer of SIAM for 2024-25.

SIAM just concluded its 64th Annual Convention focused on “Aatmanirbhar in automobile supply chain & leveraging India’s potential in global Markets.
