Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked by over Rs 3 per litre, while CNG prices have gone up by Rs 2 per kg. After this revision, the price of petrol in Delhi is now Rs 97.77 per litre and that of diesel is now Rs 90.67 per litre. Meanwhile, CNG now costs Rs 79.09 per kg in the national capital.
Fuel prices hiked
Petrol and diesel prices go up by up to Rs 3.29; CNG prices hiked by Rs 2
Effective as of May 15, 2026, state-owned oil companies have hiked the prices of petrol and diesel fuel. Kolkata sees the highest price hike, with the price of petrol now higher by up to Rs 3.29 per litre. It is followed by Mumbai, where prices of petrol have gone up by up to Rs 3.14 per litre. As for the price of diesel, Kolkata again sees a higher hike than other cities mentioned here. The price of a litre of diesel in Kolkata is now up by Rs 3.11, going from Rs 92.02 per litre to Rs 95.13 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of diesel in Chennai has gone up by Rs 2.86 per litre – taking the price from Rs 92.39 per litre to Rs 95.25 per litre. The price of CNG in Delhi was Rs 77.09 per kg, which has now been revised to Rs 79.09 per kg – that’s a hike of Rs 2 per kg. Similarly, the price of CNG in Mumbai has also been hiked by Rs 2 per kg, going from Rs 82 per kg to Rs 84 per kg.
