Autocar India awards 2025

The 2025 edition of the annual Autocar India Awards will be held on December 10, 2024, where we will announce the coveted Autocar Car of the Year and Bike of the Year winners. This year, we have 15 cars and 13 bikes gunning for the top award.

For the top car and bike awards, all nominees have to fullfill the following criterias: It has to be an all-new vehicle that has been launched in the market for private buyers between January 1, 2024 and November 30, 2024. It also needs to be homologated for India.

Autocar Car of the Year Nominees

From a bevy of new car and SUV launches this year, here's the final selection of 15 models that meet the criteria to be nominated for Car of the Year Award:

  2. Maruti Suzuki Dzire
  3. Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor
  4. Mahindra XUV 3XO
  5. Citroën Basalt
  6. Tata Punch EV
  7. Tata Curvv
  8. Mahindra Thar Roxx
  9. MG Windsor
  10. Force Gurkha 5 Door
  11. Tata Curvv EV
  12. Kia Carnival
  13. BMW 5 Series
  14. Mercedes-Benz E-Class
  15. Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV

Bike of the Year Nominees

Similarly, in the two-wheeler segment, there were plenty of exciting new launches making waves particularly in the commuter and sub-500cc segments. The final selection includes 13 bikes that have been nominated for the Bike of the Year Award:

  2. Hero Xtreme 125R
  3. Bajaj Freedom 125
  4. Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z
  5. Hero Mavrick 440
  6. Jawa 350
  7. Triumph Speed T4
  8. Husqvarna Vitpilen 250
  9. Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450
  10. Husqvarna Svartpilen 401
  11. BSA Gold Star 650
  12. Royal Enfield Shotgun 650
  13. Aprilia RS 457

Apart from these two big awards, there will be several other awards for various sub-segments and categories, too.
