Nissan Tekton FAQs
The Tekton is Nissan's version of the Renault Duster. Built on the same platform, the Tekton gets several exterior and interior design changes, but the powertrains are expected to be similar. If you are confused between the two SUVs, the only major differences will be the design and prices.
The Renault Duster, currently available with two turbo-petrol engine options, is on sale across India. The Nissan Tekton will be launched on July 9, and deliveries are expected to follow later. So, if and only if you like the Nissan Tekton's design (exterior and interior) more than the Duster's, you should wait for it. Moreover, Nissan cars have a slightly lower entry price tag generally, which can help you save money if you wait.
While we are yet to drive the Nissan Tekton, we can draw inferences from the Renault Duster, as both are underpinned by the same platform. While the experience could change slightly, the Duster offers wide seats with comfortable cushioning. This, paired with a pliant ride quality, makes the Duster a comfortable car. While the Tekton's seat cushioning can differ, the ride is expected to be similar, and hence comfortable.
