Yes, it is more than just a cosmetic change. The earlier halo-style dashboard had limited space for a second cup holder and made the wireless charger and USB-C ports difficult to reach from the passenger side. The new dashboard addresses these issues while adding a dedicated display for the front passenger.

The switch from the halo-style dashboard to a more traditional horizontal layout does make the cabin less distinctive, but it a practical trade-off. The halo design looked unique but created some everyday usability issues. The new layout improves practicality while adding a dedicated passenger display. The halo-style dashboard is still available on the Formula E Freedom Edition and the One trim.

It is not a new top-spec trim. The Sporteq now covers the entire BE 6 range, from One to Four and the Launch Edition. The Formula E Freedom Edition is offered separately. In short, the Sporteq is a rebranded and updated BE 6 lineup, not an additional trim above the existing range.

It helps, but only as an emergency backup. Mahindra has limited the Revive SOS to five uses over the vehicle's lifetime. It also clearly states that it is not a substitute for regular charging. So, it can help if you run out of charge, but it is not meant to replace proper charging planning.

It is a strong warranty for the first registered owner, but there is an important condition. If the vehicle changes ownership, the battery warranty becomes 10 years or 2,00,000km, whichever comes first, from the vehicle's first delivery date. This is worth considering for buyers who may sell the Sporteq later.

The ONE is a reasonable choice if you want the BE 6's core features without paying for the higher-end tech. It gets six airbags, ESP and other essential equipment, but misses the triple-screen setup, adaptive suspension and several TEQ features. So, it makes sense for buyers who value the core EV package more than the full tech experience.

The higher trims get adaptive suspension, while the lower trims use standard suspension with FDD/MTV-CL technology. It is not yet clear how much of a difference the adaptive setup makes in everyday driving. Autocar's earlier BE 6 review did not highlight the standard suspension as a weak point, so this is something that needs to be tested on the BE 6 Sporteq.
