Ferrari has revealed the new Amalfi as the successor to the Roma, the Italian brand’s most affordable front-engined grand tourer. The Ferrari Amalfi is priced at Rs 5.59 crore, ex-showroom, India, before options. The Amalfi sits on the Roma’s underpinnings but brings notable upgrades to performance and aerodynamic efficiency. Ferrari will continue selling the Roma Spider alongside the Amalfi until the brand introduces a drop-top Amalfi.

Power comes from Ferrari’s 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine has been reworked to produce 640hp (20hp more than the Roma) while torque remains unchanged at 760Nm. The Amalfi does 0-100kph in 3.3 seconds, 0-200kph in 9 seconds, and has a top speed of 320kph. Design changes are extensive too, Ferrari says every body panel except the glasshouse is new, while the interior gets a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, updated displays and a return to physical steering wheel buttons including a red start/stop button.

The Amalfi rivals the Aston Martin Vantage and the Porsche 911.

Ferrari Amalfi FAQs

Ferrari's design team, headed by Flavio Manzoni, started with the Roma's elegance and gave it bolder character for the Amalfi. The desigining was done at  Ferrari Centro Stile located in Maranello.

The Ferrari Amalfi features a 2+2 seating layout, but the rear seats are good enough for kids or pets on a longer drive.

The Amalfi is Ferrari's interpretation of a modern grand tourer. While its 640hp twin-turbo V8 delivers supercar-rivalling performance, the car has been engineered to balance driving excitement with long-distance comfort, everyday usability and refinement, making it a versatile model in Ferrari's line-up.

The Amalfi builds on the Roma's grand touring philosophy but introduces substantial updates beneath the skin. It features a more powerful V8 engine, revised aerodynamics, Ferrari's latest electronic control systems, a redesigned cockpit with physical steering-wheel buttons and improved everyday usability.

Yes. Compared with models such as the 296 GTB or 849 Testarossa, the Amalfi places greater emphasis on ride comfort, cabin refinement and touring ability. It is designed to be driven over long distances while still delivering the performance expected from a Ferrari.

It strikes a balance between both. While capable of 0-100kph in 3.3 seconds, the Amalfi also offers a highly refined cabin, premium materials, advanced infotainment and a practical 2+ seating layout.
