A heavily camouflaged facelift of the Chevrolet Trailblazer has been spotted testing in Brazil. The spy shots reveal few of the changes made on the exteriors. However, the SUV’s front facia appears to be heavily tweaked. There's a new bonnet, reshaped bumpers, a re-profiled split-grille and sleeker headlamps, unlike the soft-looking ones on the car recently launched in India. The headlamps on higher variants also receive LED daytime running lights. The rear end gets a new bumper and updated tail-lamps.

The Trailblazer has already won brownie points for its well-appointed interiors. Expect the facelift to retain the interiors of the current SUV, with newer seat fabrics and updates to its MyLink infotainment system.

Powering the facelifted Trailblazer is the same 197bhp, 2.8-litre Duramax turbocharged diesel motor available on the SUV for India. Foreign markets receive a more powerful 275bhp, 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine. In addition to this, a 200bhp, 2.5-litre EcoTec petrol engine will be offered in select markets.

The facelifted Trailblazer is expected to be unveiled in South America later this year. Given that the SUV was launched in India only recently, it is safe to assume that the facelift won’t make it to our shores until next year.
