Tata Zest has been named the best designed passenger vehicle at the recently concluded 2014 CII Design Excellence Awards. The awards, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) have been in effect since 2011, to establish design as a tool for national competitiveness in India.

The Zest was also the overall winner amongst 10 vehicles contesting in five different like commercial vehicles, special purpose vehicles and two-wheelers.

The Zest has been bringing in good sales numbers for Tata motors. In the month of October, the Zest outsold the Honda Amaze. However, the waiting period for the Zest has been on the rise. Tata is facing supply side constraints and they are trying to increase production to match the demand. Dealing with these issues will help Tata in increasing its sales figures.
