Next month, Skoda will reveal a new SUV at the upcoming Beijing motor show. Skoda will also unveil a second new SUV – the Kodiaq GT coupé – later, this year.
The two models will make a four-strong SUV line-up in China for the Czech car maker. They will be adding to the existing Kodiaq and Karoq, which are already on sale. The new small SUV has been codenamed 'Model Q' but rumoured to be called the Kamiq, will sit below the Karoq. It is described as a crossover. Images of this SUV surfaced on the web, a few months ago.
The Kamiq will be built on the localised PQ platform for China, instead of the latest MQB architecture. Apart from the Kamiq, Skoda is also readying the global market introduction of the Kodiaq GT coupé, slated to be unveiled later this year.
Closer to home, Skoda is readying a new SUV to rival the Creta in the Indian market. More on that here.
