Skoda Auto India, in collaboration with SIAM, will conduct pollution check camps to observe World Environment Day that falls on 5 June. These camps will be held at Skoda dealerships across the country, at no cost. Emission testing equipment will be used to carry out vehicle inspection. Engine cleaning systems will also be on standby, if there are engines that fail to meet emission norms. The process will be carried out by trained, technical personnel.

Commenting on the campaign, Mr Ajay Shinde, Head of Aftersales, Skoda Auto India said, “Skoda India is very pleased to partner with SIAM for such a worthy initiative contributing to the conservation of the environment. It is our company’s ethos to care for the environment as much as we care for our customers. The campaign reinforces the brand’s commitment and efforts towards environmental sustainability.”

Skoda will also offer free saplings to customers to promote planting of trees. Even though all Skoda India cars adhere to the prevalent emission norms, this endeavour will guarantee environmental awareness.
