Porsche is planning to launch a diesel version of its first ever four door coupe, the Panamera.

It is being speculated that the engine used will be the 3.0-liter TDI unit with eight speed gearbox however Porsche also has access to the mighty 4.2 TDI which is currently on duty in the Audi A8 as well as on Audi Q7.

Porsche CEO Matthias Müller has confirmed the company will launch a diesel-powered Panamera in the second half of 2011.Expect an India launch shortly after.
