Noble Automotive has revealed the final production version of itsM600 supercar. The model now comes complete with full carbonfibre bodywork and has a kerb weight of less than 1200kg. The previous light blue prototype tipped the scales at 1250kg.

Noble managing director Peter Boutwood told Autocar that the fit and finish of the car “had to be seen” and the previous blue model “was not representative in quality of what customers will buy”.

“The light blue car was only ever a prototype,” he said. “It’s all finished now and is ready to be sold.” Boutwood said he had around 50 potential customers – some definitive - who had paid small refundable deposits on a waiting list to buy a M600 and the firm was having “loads of enquiries every day” about buying the car.

“I’m not selling any until I’ve let buyers drive it and see it for real,” he said. Boutwood said the first finished M600 would remain undriven ahead of it appearing in showroom of Peter Smith Sportscars in Derby, UK from 10-13 February. “So many people treat it as a race car and it’s not,” he said, “so I want to showcase it as a road car to anyone who buys it.”

Initial production at its Leicestershire factory will one unit per month, although Boutwood said this could be ramped up to three units per month should there be sufficient demand.

Like the prototype, the M600 is powered by twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 Yamaha engine producing 650bhp and 83.2 kgm. It can get from 0-100 kph in 3.5sec and reach an estimated top speed of 362 kph.
