Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition: Additional details
Gets JCW Packs' body kit along with distinct design bits
On the outside, the Cooper S GP Inspired Edition is finished in an exclusive ‘Legend Grey’ colour with a ‘Chilli Red’ colour for the roof and external mirrors. Additionally, it gets decals with ‘GP Inspired’ branding on the sides, and the C-pillar features the unit number of the car made to signify its exclusivity. As this edition is based on the JCW pack, it retains many of its accessories, including a blacked-out bumper, alloy wheel design, rear spoiler, a black rear diffuser, and a centrally positioned tailpipe. However, red accents on the bumpers, door sills, and red wheel centre caps give it some distinction.
While Mini has not revealed the interior yet, it is likely to carry over the JCW Pack’s red and black colour scheme. It could also come with JCW-specific interior details like sports seats upholstered in black synthetic leather, multi-coloured knitted fabric, red stitching and sports steering wheel. Engine specs and power figures have not been confirmed as of now, but it is expected to use the standard Cooper S’ 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Here, it delivers 204hp and 300Nm of torque and is mated with a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Expect it to have a similar 0-100kph time of 6.6 seconds. Expect the Cooper S GP Inspired Edition’s exclusivity to lend it a higher price than the Cooper S JCW Pack, which is priced from Rs 55 lakh.
All prices are ex-showroom, India.
