Mini Countryman JCW All4 launched at Rs 64.90 lakh

Countryman line-up in India expands with sporty ICE-powered JCW trim.

The Mini Countryman JCW All4 has officially gone on sale in India at a starting price of Rs 64.90 lakh. This is the first ICE-powered version of the current-gen Countryman to be launched here; the crossover’s EV derivative, the Countryman Electric, has been available in India since July 2024. Bookings for the Countryman JCW have been open since September 22, and its closest rival is the Volkswagen Golf GTI.

300hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine; 0-100kph in 5.4 seconds (claimed).

Under the hood, the Countryman JCW comes with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol motor that puts out 300hp and 400Nm. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and AWD, it allows the Countryman JCW to do a the 0-100kph sprint in a claimed 5.4 seconds, and achieve a top speed of 250kph. Fuel efficiency is a claimed 15.4kpl, and adaptive suspension is also a part of the package.

Sporty body kit includes updated grille, bumpers, wheels and lots of red accents.

In typical Mini JCW fashion, the racier Countryman variant features a chequered design for the blacked-out grille and a revised front bumper. Sporty red highlights are littered about the Countryman JCW’s body, including the bumpers, brake calipers and roof, and it gets 19-inch five-spoke alloys too.

There’s JCW badging on the C pillars, and at the rear, a bigger roof spoiler, blacked-out ‘COUNTRYMAN’ lettering, and a quad-exhaust setup complete the look. The Countryman JCW gets three colour options – British Racing Green, Legend Grey and Midnight Black – and the roof and wing mirrors can be had in either red or black.

Black-and-red aesthetic finds its way to the interior as well.

Inside, the theme is retained by way of an all-black cabin interspersed with red ambient lighting and contrast stitching. The 9.4-inch circular OLED infotainment touchscreen also gets JCW-specific graphics.

In terms of features, the Countryman JCW packs in a Harman Kardon surround sound system, a panoramic glass roof, a heads-up display, powered tailgate, a wireless charger, auto park assist, electrically adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and more.
