Maserati GranTurismo, GranCabrio facelift powertrains

The GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelift are offered in base-spec, Trofeo, and Folgore versions. ICE versions retain the 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol 'Nettuno' engine. It produces 490hp and 600Nm in base-spec guise and 590hp and 650Nm in the Trofeo version. The latter version's power has been increased by 50hp from the pre-facelift model. Both versions utilise an 8-speed gearbox that sends power to all four wheels, but it has been recalibrated for quicker responses.
The GranTurismo takes 3.9 seconds to go from 0-100kph and has a top speed of 302kph, while the more powerful Trofeo does 0-100kph in 3.5 seconds and can reach 320kph. Meanwhile, the GranCabrio does 0-100kph in 4 seconds and has a top speed of 300kph, while the Trofeo has a 0-100kph time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 316kph.
Folgore versions of both the GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelift retain the previous version’s 92.5kWh battery pack. This battery pack is paired with three e-motors (one at the front and two at the rear). Maximum power output stands at 761hp and 1,340 with the GranTurismo Folgore and GranCabrio Folgore accelerating from 0-100kph in 2.5 seconds and 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 325kph and 290kph respectively.
All models come with an air suspension setup as standard. Only the base-spec and Folgore versions get a new ‘Country’ mode. It replaces the comfort mode from the pre-facelift version increases ground clearance by 20mm at up to 120kph. This driving mode Maserati says makes the car more capable on uneven road surfaces.
Thanks to a new system that disconnects the front motor when all-wheel traction is not required, the WLTP-claimed range has increased from 450km to 540km. Topping up the battery from 20-80 percent can be done in 18 minutes with a 270kW DC fast charger. AC charging support is rated at 22kW, with 100km range in an hour.
