Fiat upgrades Linea, Grande Punto

Both cars get subtle upgrades for 2012 and a new color shade too.

Fiat has launched updated versions of the Linea saloon and Grande Punto hatch.

All Linea variants now get automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and the Linea Emotion diesel variant gets the same 16-inch turbine-blade alloy wheels, earlier available only on the petrol T-Jet variant. 

Both cars get an upgraded air conditioner unit and more ground clearance – now at 185mm. There are some revisions to the 92bhp 1.3-litre diesel engine as well. The base-variant Punto, the Active, now gets an audio system similar to the Linea’s.

A new paint shade called Oceanic Blue has also been added to both Linea and Grande Punto models.

Linea Petrol prices 

1.4 Active:  Rs 6.84 lakh

1.4 Dynamic:  Rs. 7.81 lakh

Linea Diesel prices 

1.3 Active: Rs 7.84Lakh

1.3 Dynamic: Rs. 8.84 lakh

1.3 Emotion: Rs. 9.10 lakh

Grande Punto Petrol prices 

1.2 Active: Rs. 4.81 lakh

1.2 Dynamic: Rs. 5.04 lakh

1.4 Emotion:  Rs. 6.54 lakh

Grande Punto diesel prices 

1.3 Active: Rs. 5.48 lakh

1.3 Dynamic:  Rs. 6.11 lakh

1.3 Emotion: Rs. 6.71 lakh
