Land Rover Freelander 2 S Business edition launched

Land Rover has launched a new, cheaper S Business edition of the Freelander 2. The new base trim sees the Freelander 2’s price tag drop by around Rs 3.5 lakh.

Land Rover has deleted some features from the car like the puddle lamps on the front doors, the sunroof, rear camera, seat-mounted armrests for the driver and passenger, and powered front seats. It also loses its 7-inch touchscreen unit with navigation, and instead gets a smaller, 4.2-inch colour display along with a six-speaker audio system. There are no changes to the exterior.

The Freelander 2, however, still gets 2.2-litre TD4 and SD4 engine options mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Other features like the Terrain Response System, auto headlights, Xenon lamps, rain-sensing wipers and front and rear parking sensors are also retained.

The Land Rover Freelander 2 S Business edition is priced at Rs 37.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
