Set to make its official debut at the Geneva motor show, Lamborghini’s limited-run model, developed to celebrate the company founder’s 100th birthday, has been previewed through patent images that detail the styling of the model.

The car’s design seems to build upon that of the Huracán with the archetypal wedge-shape and a blacked-out roof. Long overhangs are seen at the front and rear, to incorporate the slim front-end and rear diffuser.

The rear light clusters are incorporated into a full-width light bar with Lamborghini’s trademark chevron light motifs at the end. There are three central exhausts above an extreme diffuser, which extends from below the car to behind the light clusters. Louvres shroud the rear windscreen – another typical Lamborghini feature.

The limited-run model is expected to feature a tweaked version of the Aventador’s 690bhp 6.5-litre V12 with power output expected to be around 759bhp. Other details of the car remain under wraps and are only expected to be made public at the event.

Limited to just 40 units – 20 coupés and 20 convertibles – the Centenario is already sold out. However, the 'Centenario' name is yet to be officially confirmed, and Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann has revealed that the company has already decided upon a name.
