India-spec Jaguar F-Pace details revealed

The F-Pace for India will come with two diesel engine options and three trims.

Jaguar showcased its first SUV, the F-Pace at the Auto Expo in Delhi earlier in the year with the model’s launch expected to take place around the festive season later this year. Jaguar has now released details of the F-Pace on its Indian website.

As per the details on the website, the F-Pace is expected to be offered in three trims – Pure, Prestige and R-Sport. All variants will be offered with an eight-speed automatic gearbox with all-wheel drive as standard.

Under the hood, Jaguar’s first SUV will be offered with a choice of two diesel engines – a 180hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel on the Pure and Prestige trims with the R-Sport using a larger 3.0-litre V6 diesel motor developing a meatier 300hp. Jaguar claims that the SUV will be capable of sprinting to 100kph in 8.7 seconds in its less powerful iteration and 6.2 seconds when equipped with the V6.

In terms of equipment, the base Pure trim gets features such as cruise control with speed limiter, heated and power folding wing mirrors, 18-inch alloy wheels, two-zone automatic climate control, 10-way power adjust front seats, JLR’s InControl Touch infotainment system, front and rear parking sensors, JLR’s All Surface Progress Control system and brake pad wear indicator to name a few. The Prestige additionally gets Taurus leather upholstery, reverse-parking camera, headlamp washers, additional exterior chrome detailing and an auto dimming internal rear-view mirror.

The R-Sport trim gets a different body kit, LED headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, mood lighting, larger front brakes, gesture-control tailgate, electric adjust front seats with memory, electric-adjust steering column, reclining rear seat, JLR’s InControl Touch Pro infotainment system and surround-camera system.

Jaguar could also offer the limited production First Edition model of the F-Pace at the time of launch with the variant coming fully equipped with additional luxuries such as panoramic sunroof, Meridian audio system, Windsor leather upholstery, 20-inch alloy wheels to name a few. The first edition if made available will be powered by the larger 3.0-litre diesel V6 motor.

As per dealers, the F-Pace is expected to be priced around the region of Rs 80-85 lakh (ex-showroom).
