    Hyundai launches Santa Fe Auto

Hyundai has added a new variant to its SUV range. The four-wheel-drive Santa Fe, powered by a 2.2-litre CRDi engine, is now coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission and also gets additional features like a push-start button and a smart key.

The CRDi engine develops max power of 194bhp at 4000rpm and max torque of 42.9kgm at 1800-2500rpm. This engine hosts advanced technologies that help achieve an optimal balance between performance and drivability, and a combined fuel mileage of 11.72kpl (ARAI-certified).

HW Park, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said, “The Santa Fe launched last year has been extremely well received, and the new offering with automatic transmission further improves our value proposition.”

Awarded five-star safety rating by New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), the Santa Fe comes fully loaded with various active and passive safety features such as electronic stability program (EPS) and ABS with EBD to ensure greater driving stability. The six standard airbags and active headrests greatly enhance passenger protection and safety.

Since its launch in October 2010, around 1,100 units of the SUV have been sold. The 4WD Santa Fe Automatic is priced at Rs 24.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
