It’s official! Bookings for Hyundai’s all-new small car Eon will commence from October 1.

Earlier known by its codename HA, this baby hatch will compete with the likes of the Alto and A-Star, and is expected to take a huge chunk of market share away from Maruti. Heavily sculpted and intricately detailed, the Eon certainly has the looks to accomplish this. The modern Fluidic styling makes it look like anything but a low-cost car.

Hyundai’s R&D facility in Hyderabad worked in coordination with Namyang R&D in South Korea to develop the car. In India, the Eon will be manufactured at Hyundai Motor India’s manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur near Chennai.

The Eon will hit the roads by November. Customers can visit Hyundai dealerships or log on to the website www.eonindiaon.com.
