Honda has released the first details of the updated Jazz hatch. The revisions include a mild restyling, particularly at the front end; the cabin gets chrome trim on the dashboard.

The engine, a 1.2-liter unit remains unchanged, although small tweaks have been carried out to improve fuel consumption. Other mechanical revisions include new suspension settings - claimed by Honda to “increase ride comfort and improve handling” - and changes to the steering set-up to improve feel.

Honda is now introducing a CVT transmission in other markets where Jazz is sold. Since sales of automatic transmission equipped vehicles is on a rise in India, Honda India could follow suit and launch a CVT-equipped Jazz in order to garner more sales numbers.

The Jazz facelift will arrive in India sometime later next year.
