Along with the India-bound 0 α SUV, Honda has also revealed a near-production compact EV called the Super-One at the ongoing Japan Mobility Show 2025. The production model is scheduled to go on sale in its home market and select countries in Asia and Oceania as the Honda Super-One, though its name for the UK market will be Super-N.

Designed as a tall-boy hatchback with sporty aspirations, the Super-One was previewed by the Super EV concept at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The electric hatchback has a low and wide stance; a look enhanced by flared fenders and 8-spoke black alloy wheels pushed out to the corners.

The nose features the standard Honda logo (not the stylised one seen on the 0 Series EVs) and charging port flaps framed by circular headlights. The front bumper features vertical air ducts for aerodynamic and cooling purposes, which are mirrored on the rear bumper. Rectangular tail-lights sit at the bottom corners of the large rear windscreen, and there’s a prominent yet tasteful rear spoiler.

Honda Super-One interior and features

Interior features physical buttons and knobs for AC and other controls

The Super-One’s interior features an intentionally horizontal layout, says Honda – from the infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument cluster to the air vents and two-spoke steering wheel. Other interior highlights include the sport seats, blue highlights in the cabin, and physical buttons and knobs for various controls.

Honda Super-One technical specifications

It has a Boost mode, simulated 7-speed gearbox and virtual engine sounds

The Honda Super-One complies with Japan’s Kei car specifications and has a length of under 3.4 metres. Other technical details have not yet been revealed, but the compact EV gets a Boost mode that increases power output, and it has a simulated 7-speed transmission that is said to reproduce the gearshift feel of a traditional gearbox. Virtual engine sounds will also be on offer to engage driving enthusiasts.
