  • EcoSport automatic comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine
  • Both automatic variants come with a long equipment list that includes paddleshifters
  • EcoSport Titanium auto misses out on a sunroof and comes with just two airbags

Ford has added a second variant to the EcoSport automatic range in India. The new and cheaper EcoSport Titanium automatic sits below the Titanium + variant.  We tell you what's new.

What does the features list look like?

As mentioned above, the new EcoSport Titanium trim sits below the top-spec automatic variant and, at Rs 10.67 lakh, it’s around Rs 90,000 cheaper. This variant, in order to justify its lower price point, misses out on a sunroof and also comes with dual-front airbags. In comparison, the top-spec EcoSport Titanium+ automatic gets a sunroof as standard and comes with six airbags. Some of the other features not available on the Titanium variant include auto headlights and wipers, a rear seat center armrest and front map lights.

As far the rest of the equipment goes, the new EcoSport automatic Titanium comes loaded with a 9.0-inch infotainment system, cruise control, paddleshifters, traction control and ESP to name a few features.

What engine does the Ford EcoSport automatic come with?

The EcoSport automatic comes with the same 123hp, 1.5-litre petrol as the manual variant. The SUV is available with a 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine too but this unit is only on offer with a manual gearbox.

Does this EcoSport variant come with FordPass connected car tech?

Yes, Ford's recently introduced connected car tech is also available on the mid-spec EcoSport Titanium automatic variant. FordPass comes with features like vehicle start or stop,, vehicle locator, remote lock or unlock and a few other vehicle-related updates.

What does the Ford EcoSport automatic rival?

Other petrol-powered compact SUV options include the Tata Nexon AMT, Hyundai Venue DCT and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza mild-hybrid AT.
