Maruti recently launched the Ciaz SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) diesel which gets the addition of micro-hybrid technology that includes a stop-start technology, brake energy recuperation and Engine Power Assist systems. This technology makes it the most fuel-efficient car in India at a claimed figure of 28.09kpl.

The Ciaz SHVS is offered in five trim levels: VDi, VDi (O), VDi+, ZDi, and ZDi+.

Maruti Ciaz VDi SHVS – Rs 8.23 lakh

The base level of the Ciaz features a basic music system with four speakers, power windows and electrically adjustable ORVMs. The mirrors with turn indicators on them, and door handles are body coloured.

The variant does not feature a height-adjustable driver seat, or too many safety features. While the car does get a driver side airbag, there is no ABS or airbags for the passenger seat.

Maruti Ciaz VDi (O) SHVS – Rs 8.37 lakh 

Along with all the features included in the VDi variant, the VDi (O) variant gets the addition of ABS and front airbags for Rs 14,000 over the base variant.

Maruti Ciaz VDi + SHVS – Rs 8.81 lakh

The VDi + gets several additional features including height-adjustable driver seat, AC with climate control, rear parking sensors and cabin mirror with auto dimming function, a 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth audio and telephony that has controls on the steering wheel. Fog lamps are also available in this variant onwards.

Maruti Ciaz ZDi SHVS – Rs 9.52 lakh

The additional features on the ZDi variant improve the comfort and aesthetic appeal of the car. The exterior gets alloy wheels and chrome ORVMs. Inside, the car features footwell lamps, rear sunshade, rear reading lamps, leather seats, and sunglass holders. Additional gadgetry includes a start-stop function and a rear parking camera that has a display integrated into the cabin's rearview mirror. 

Maruti Ciaz ZDi+ SHVS – Rs 10.17 lakh

Adding to the list of features on the ZDi, the top-spec variant of the Ciaz gets bigger 16-inch alloy-wheels, an integrated touchscreen music system with navigation, and leather interiors.

Projector headlamps and rear AC vents are standard on all variants of the Maruti Ciaz SHVS.
