These are spy pictures of Chevrolet’s upcoming Sail hatchback that will replace the Aveo U-VA in the Indian market.

The Sail hatchback looks striking from whichever angle you look at it.  The design is well-executed and, like the saloon, its spacious interiors will be a selling point. It is likely to share the Beat’s 1.2-litre petrol engine, churning out 79bhp and 10.91kgm of torque, and will also get the 1.3-litre Fiat MultiJet engine within a year of its launch.

Costs will be kept low, thanks to the car sharing many components with the saloon. A sub-Rs 4-lakh base price should make it a very enticing option.  Expect Chevrolet to showcase the Sail along with other models at the upcoming Auto Expo in Delhi.
