Porsche Boxster GTS, Cayman GTS launched in India

Porsche has launched the Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS in India. While the Porsche Boxster GTS is priced at Rs 1.15 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Cayman GTS costs Rs 1.17 crore. Both the mid-engined sportscars are uprated versions of the Boxster S and Cayman S, respectively.

Both cars get 3.4-litre six-cylider units. However, the engine in the Boxster GTS has an output of 326bhp and 37.7kgm of torque, while the engine in the Cayman GTS has been tuned to deliver 335bhp and 38.7kgm of torque. Both cars get a seven-speed PDK automatic gearbox driving power to the rear wheels. Additionally, the Sport Chrono package is standard on both cars.

In Sport Plus mode, the Boxster GTS sprints from 0-100kph in 4.7 seconds, and the Cayman GTS is a tenth of a second faster. Top speed for the Boxster GTS is 279kph, and 283kph for the Cayman GTS.

Both the Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS get the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which allows drivers to choose between sportier or more comfort-oriented settings. Both cars get 20-inch wheels from the Carrera S.

In terms of cosmetics, they get blackened bi-xenon headlights, and on the inside, both the two-seaters get standard bucket seats and leather upholstery with Alcantara inserts.
