Volkswagen India has rolled out the 50,000th car from its Chakan Plant. 
 
Located near Pune, Volkswagen’s Chakan plant is one of the firm’s 61 manufacturing plants globally; it currently produces models like the Polo, Vento and the Skoda Fabia.
 
Volkswagen commenced its India operations from the Chakan plant less than two years ago, the company has invested Rs 3,800 crore in its Chakan plant. It has a production capacity of 10,000 units monthly.
 
The 50,000th car rolled out of the plant was a Volkswagen Vento.
