Alongside the upcoming VF MPV 7, Vinfast will also bring its fleet-only version called the Limo Green. While the VF MPV 7 is set for its India launch on April 15, 2026, followed by deliveries to customers soon after, the fleet-spec Limo Green is expected to join the line-up too. With the upcoming Limo Green, Vinfast will become one of the few automakers in India to offer fleet-specific models – Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Tata and Toyota being the only major brands to do so.
- Limo Green likely to be used for the GSM ride-hailing service in India
- Will share its platform and 7-seater layout with the VF MPV 7
Major differences between the Limo Green and VF MPV 7
The fleet-spec model is likely to be offered with fewer features than the VF MPV 7
Vinfast India CEO Tapan Kumar Ghosh told us in an interview that the Limo Green will have different badges and logos than the VF MPV 7 while also featuring a separate ARAI certification meant solely for fleet operations. This is because “there are certain government regulations that have to be met when selling for fleet,” Ghosh clarified. Furthermore, the Limo Green’s feature set will be trimmed down from the VF MPV 7. For instance, while the latter will be available with a more premium-looking two-tone interior, the fleet-spec model will get a simpler all-black theme.
GSM ride-hailing service
The brand is currently evaluating the service for the Indian market
Green and Smart Mobility (GSM) Joint Stock Company, established by Vinfast founder Pham Nhat Vuong in March 2023, is likely to bring its ride-hailing service to India, and the fully electric Limo Green MPV is a model that could be used for this application. However, at present, the company is currently only evaluating the service for the country. Operated under the Green SM brand and first launched in Vietnam in April 2023, the GSM taxi service utilises Vinfast models such as the VF 5 and VF 8 for providing affordable and premium options, respectively.
The GSM taxis that are operational in markets like Vietnam and the Philippines are finished in a signature cyan colour, with customers being able to hail a ride via a dedicated app on their smartphone. Green SM purchases cars from Vinfast before integrating them into the fleet. “A similar strategy is being worked on by the brand for India also. They may come to India and source the Limo Green and use it in the fleet,” Ghosh mentioned in the interview. However, there is no concrete word yet on the exact nature of the brand's fleet operations plan for India.
What more do we know about the Vinfast Limo Green?
Platform and seat layout to be shared with the VF MPV 7
Ghosh confirmed to us that the VF MPV 7 will offer over 500km of claimed range and also stated that it will share its 7-seater layout and electric platform with the fleet-spec Limo Green. We already know that the VF MPV 7 uses a 60.13kWh battery pack that powers a front-mounted electric motor capable of producing 204hp and 280Nm of torque. Other similarities will include seating for seven occupants across three rows, with boot space behind the last row expected to be comparable between the two as well. We also expect the fleet-spec model to get a few styling tweaks on the outside to visually separate it from the VF MPV 7.
While the Vietnamese marque has opened bookings for the VF MPV 7 in India at Rs 21,000, there is no word yet on the same for the fleet-only Limo Green.
