Kia unveiled the second-generation Seltos on December 10, ahead of its market launch on January 2. While the updated SUV will lead the manufacturer's 2026 schedule, the line-up also includes the all-electric Syros and the Sorento. Here are the details of the upcoming 2026 Kia models in India.

  • Second-gen Seltos launches on January 2, 2026
  • Syros EV arrives in Q2, sharing its platform with the Hyundai Inster
  • Three-row Sorento SUV is expected to launch in the second half of 2026

2026 Kia Seltos

Scheduled to launch on January 2, prices are estimated between Rs 12 lakh and 22 lakh

The second-gen Kia Seltos made its debut on December 10, revealing a completely new design language distinguished by a more upright nose and vertical DRLs. It is larger than the outgoing model, which results in improved cabin space. The interior is all-new, borrowing its trinity panoramic display from the Syros; it also sees a step up in the overall fit and finish.

Powertrains from the outgoing model – the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (115hp), 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (160hp) and 1.5-litre diesel (116hp) – are set to continue, though the NA engine is likely to be hybridised by 2027 to take on the Maruti Grand Vitara. The new Seltos is scheduled for launch on January 2, 2026, with prices estimated between Rs 12 lakh and 22 lakh.

2026 Kia Syros EV

Expected to launch in Q2 2026 and priced between Rs 15 lakh and 18 lakh

The Syros will get an all-electric variant in 2026. It will share its K1 platform with the Hyundai Inster EV available globally and could use the same 42kWh and 49kWh battery packs. For reference, the Inster EV has a WLTP range of 300km with the former unit and 355km with the latter. Spy shots suggest it will keep its boxy silhouette but add EV-specific cues like a blanked-out grille – similar to how the Clavis EV differs from its ICE counterpart – and a charging port on the front-left fender.

The cabin is expected to be largely carried over from the ICE model, with minor trim and upholstery tweaks. Expected to launch in Q2 2026, the Syros EV is estimated to be priced between Rs 15 lakh and 18 lakh.

2026 Kia Sorento

Expected to arrive in H2 2026 with an estimated price of around Rs 35 lakh

Kia is working on localising the Sorento, or introducing a new SUV based on its platform, to take on the likes of the Jeep Meridian and Toyota Fortuner. Globally, the Sorento features Kia’s familiar design language, getting vertically oriented LED headlights and tail-lights, a broad rectangular grille and a distinctive kink at the C-pillar. Inside, it gets dual 12.3-inch screens in a curved display, while the feature set includes Level 2 ADAS.

At just over 4.8 metres, it’s about the same length as a Meridian, and its 2,815mm wheelbase helps accommodate seven seats, with power-folding second and third rows available in the UK. Powertrains there include two hybridised 1.6-litre turbo petrols – one a plug-in hybrid – and a 2.2-litre diesel, though India is likely to get Seltos-derived engines. The Sorento is expected to arrive in H2 2026, with an estimated price of around Rs 35 lakh.
